Sam, Nik and their dad, Leon Unruh, of Eagle River recently completed an eight-day, 500-mile cycling trip called Biking Across Kansas. More than 800 riders started at the Colorado state line and finished by dipping their wheels in the Missouri River in northeastern Kansas. This was the first BAK for Sam, 11, and Nik, 9, who met their goal of riding every mile. The Alaska jerseys were a real hit and big attention getter all across the state.
