AERIAL KILLING

of 80 -100% wolves and bears in 5 large areas of Alaska.

ALASKANS VOTED TWICE TO STOP AERIAL PREDATOR KILLING.

despite this majority opposition, aerial killing is happening NOW with Gov Palin's blessing.

Hunting is important to about 14 - 20 % of Alaskans and we support fair and balanced hunting practices.

BUT over 80% of Alaskans are opposed to unfounded, extreme & cruel

destruction of Alaska's natural predator/prey balance.

• Alaska Board of Game represents

LESS THAN 14 % of Alaskans

Six of the Seven ALASKA BOARD OF GAME members are also members of AK Outdoor Council an extreme Big Game organization funded largely by Outside trophy hunters and NRA which Governor Palin is also a member.

The seventh member was Sarah Palin's high school basketball coach.

•Why not a BALANCED & FAIR Alaska Board of Wildlife?

People need to remind Governor Palin that the Alaska Board of Game is not her own personal hunting club.

These people are deciding the future health and balance of Alaska's ecosystems.

The 7 people who are ruining Alaska's natural balance seem to forget that Alaska is a world treasure.

ALASKA IS NOT THEIR GAME PERSONAL FARM.

We need a BOG who Represents REAL Alaskans (both non-consumptive and consumptive),

Biologists, & Scientists who make decisions based on REAL DATA and realize the long term consequences ,

not the AK BOG now that makes gut decisions based on an extreme political agenda.

• Governor Sarah Palin spent $400,000 of Alaska's tax money to

RE-EDUCATE the public on predator control

This BIASED DATA Presentation is shown at schools and

other public Alaska places,

and is disputed by HUNDREDS of reputable REAL scientists and biologists in

ALASKA and WORLDWIDE.

AKF& G data is disputed by many internal personnel at ADF&G that say

the data is not valid to support the Extreme predator killing that is being approved.

AND there is NO mention of the extreme cruelty of this no-fair-chase slaughter

that Governor Sarah Palin promotes wholeheartedly.

The State of Alaska will spend NO public monies to educate Alaskans about the vital role

wolves and bears play in maintaining long-term healthy moose and caribou populations.

State-funded education SHOULD present both sides of an issue.

• Goal: 100% ELIMINATION of ALL Predators in MCGRATH AREA

FYI in 2000, ADF&G claimed there were only 850 moose present and there was a crisis

with subsistence hunters unable to get enough moose.

A year later when a thorough census was finally done -there were actually 3600 moose present!!

The first estimate of 850 was presented as if it was reliable when it was based

on a census they knew was inadequate.

The AK BOARD OF GAME THEN reacted with this new data by DOUBLING

their moose population objective to 7200 moose even though 3600 moose

were enough to support a sustained yield to satisfy subsistence demand.

This doubling of their so-called objective allowed them to launch the

AERIAL WOLF KILLING control program !

The BOG has no information to indicate that the habitat

could support the higher number of moose !

And according to real people in this area -there is not enough food for that number of moose.

It appears so far that AK BOG stretch the facts as they go so they can shoot wolves and bears from the air.

• Legalized bear baiting and shooting cubs, sows, boars

With NO PLANS TO STOP OR CURTAIL Ralph Seekins INFAMOUS BIG BEAR SLAUGHTER IN GAME UNIT 16B.

EVEN THOUGH AK BOARD OF GAME COULD INTERVENE THEY HAVE NOT DONE ANYTHING AT THIS POINT.

Again-according to locals in this area -there is not enough food for more moose, and

there is not enough food for the moose there now.

There has not been a big Fire since 1960s, so there is not much moose browse left as the forest has become mature.

• WHY NOT MORE EFFORT FOR HABITAT MANAGEMENT?

IN THE AREAS WHERE THEY ARE KILLING 100% - 80% OF THE PREDATORS,

there is NOT ENOUGH FOOD for the Numbers of MOOSE or CARIBOU proposed by ADF&G AND BOG.

BOG says that they look first into habitat management to increase food for Moose and Caribou,

but according to locals and scientists -this is not true.

• WHY TRAP the 6 wolverines LEFT in Chugach State Park?

THIS LAST SEASON: 6 DOGS AND 2 WOLVERINES WERE CAUGHT

in inhumane conibear traps IN CHUGACH STATE PARK - ALL NEAR PUBLIC ACCESS AREAS.

15 Dogs TOTAL were reported caught IN TRAPS between ANCHORAGE and the Mat-Su VALLEY.

THIS IS ALL DUE TO THE RELAXED LAZY TRAPPING REGULATIONS APPROVED

BY Alaska Board of Game, as they adhere to

A VERY EXTREME AND OUTDATED political

AGENDA approved by Governor Palin.

Very Little ACTUAL UNBIASED ADF&G DATA EXISTS TO SUPPORT Their RADICAL

MISMANAGEMENT OF ALASKA'S WILD LIFE. AND IT IS ALL APPROVED BY GOV PALIN and her big game ,big money agenda.

Palin's $400,000 propaganda slide show using tax payers money is now being looked at by lawyers as to its legality.

AND MANY SCIENTISTS AT ADF&G CLAIM THAT THE DATA IS WRONG too.

WASTED MEAT - IT SHOULD BE A REAL CRIME

CALL any of the AIR Taxi Services in Alaska and you can get on a meat wait list and you might get some meat

but most of it gets thrown out or donated to the zoo.

TONS of moose and caribou meat -that is flown in - is unfit for HUMAN consumption and THROWN AWAY because they are killed by Big Game Hunters' clients from OUTSIDE ALASKA, who want the BIG Antlers

or photos and they then ship in the meat with no care whether it is salvaged for humans or for the garbage.

PLEASE ASK GOV PALIN TO MAKE IT A PUNISHABLE CRIME TO WASTE THE MEAT OF WILD GAME NOW!

IF THEY HUNT -THEY MUST BE PREPARED TO ENSURE THE MEAT DOES NOT SPOIL IN TRANSIT, AND THEY MUST ENSURE THAT IT IS USED FOR HUMAN CONSUMPTION.
